Value Added Distributors operates as a HVAC/R distribution company, with over 20 branches and 3 subsidiaries throughout the United States. VAD is currently looking for a Counter Sales Associate/Representative to join our growing team. This position provides quality customer service at the counter level, including writing and processing orders, answering questions on products, relaying pertinent order information to customers, and coordinating with other departments and manufactures when necessary. Counter Sales Associates act as the face of VAD to our customers.

Counter Sales Associates must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and with daily interactions with customers. Managing multiple priorities is critical to success in this role, which include answering phones, locating items, processing orders, and answering questions regarding products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide fast and friendly customer service to both internal and external customers
• Ensure customer needs and expectations are surpassed every time
• Assist walk in/ call ins with their orders
• Pick and pull orders for customers, when necessary
• Process orders and warranty transactions
• Oversee showroom/counter area, to include cycle counts, replenishment, merchandising, etc.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer relationships
• Maintain knowledge of new and existing products and inventory
• Additional duties and responsibilities as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Excellent attitude and commitment to superior customer service
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to multi task with ease and to meet deadlines with great accuracy
• Familiarity with HVAC parts and supplies, especially the York product line preferred.
