WHAT YOU WILL DO FOR US!

This position will direct the coordination of the day-to-day activities related to grain handling operations of a grain elevator. The Elevator Manager is responsible for country elevator commodity marketing. This involves purchasing grain and requires the Manager to maintain a close relationship with Producers, Merchandisers, as well as freight personnel within the supply chain. Responsible for the physical assets as well as all Elevator staff on location. Manager will focus on enabling employee growth and abiding by the policies and procedures as established. This position will be required to maintain a positive, forthright attitude that promotes a collaborative, respectful, and diverse corporate culture, and conducts themselves in a professional and favorable manner.

WHO YOU ARE! REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED degree and/or equivalent training required. Four-year degree is preferred.
• Experience with technical computer programs such as the AS400, Agris, and MS suite of products.
• Proven interpersonal skills; must support a team-oriented approach within the immediate facility as well as for United Grain Corporation.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with Producers on a daily basis.
• Maintenance experience with a mechanical aptitude is required.
• 5-7 years of experience managing people, elevator equipment, and elevator operations is essential.
