Georgia Winery is hiring Full and Part time positions at our main winery location in Ringgold, GA.

We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude who enjoy working with all kinds of people! They must possess a passion for all things wine, serving and talking to customers, and have the initiative to provide excellent hospitality and customer service as we believe this is the most important element for a world class winery experience. The ideal candidate loves talking to people to encourage wine tastings and sales and works well independently. This position centers on presentation and sales of wine by hosting wine tastings in a fast-paced manner.

The Georgia Winery tasting room offers daily free wine tastings, a gift shop, wine club memberships, appetizers and wine flights. A sales associate will be assisting customers throughout their entire experience at Georgia Winery. Saturdays consist of 3 positions that you will perform: 1) bar position serving customers 2) greeter position that serves as a greeter and closer to customers, manages flow of traffic, and stocking the floor while serving customers in the lounge and 3) barback which serves to assist bar pourers in complex transactions, grabbing wine purchases, prepping appetizers, etc.

The successful winery staff associate will be deliver a memorable wine tasting experience to all customers while they learn, taste and purchase our wine and winery products.

Job Skills and Functions:

· Converse with customers on the topic of wines, wine pairings, and types of wine.

· Educate the customers about our history and our unique wines.

· Effectively up-sell wine and associated merchandise.

· Accurately handle daily task including but not limited to—complex POS transactions, entering orders, updating memberships.

· Stock wine, merchandise and supplies as needed.

· Perform various cleaning responsibilities as outlined.

· Assist with special events as assigned.

· Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.

Experience:

· No prior retail or wine experience required. Customer service and/ or sales experience preferred.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a strong back to lift cases of wine upstairs.

· Be able to stand and work on feet 8 hours a day.

· Flexible schedule required since you may stay later in day, depending on customer traffic.

· Ability to work weekends and holidays. Saturdays are required.

· Must be at least 21 years old.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Have a professional appearance and demeanor

Pay:
· $12 an hour is base pay with a 3 month evaluation and potential up to 5% raise in base pay at that time. Tips have been averaging at least $10.34-14.74 an hour.
