In this role you will:

Be responsible for ensuring all aspects of the check in process are handled in an organized and efficient manner including the preparation of paper work at the start and end of the clinic days to allow for a smooth patient flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring office/zone is prepared to receive patients by turning on lights, unlocking front doors, and ensuring appropriate sign in sheets are placed in clip boards on the front desk counter.
  • Greeting patients upon arrival and informing them of any delays in clinic/wait times.
  • Providing patient with all required paperwork and instructions on how to complete.
  • Ensuring the patients have completed all of the required paperwork and have signed the Lifetime Authorization and HIPAA forms as well as the bottom of their Charge ticket.
  • Obtaining and scanning of the patients photo identification and insurance card(s) into EOB Express on every visit.
  • Verifying a valid authorization is present in the patients account in Centricity Groupcast.
  • Updating any information the patient has corrected on their face sheet in Centricity Groupcast and printing a revised copy for the patients chart.
  • Ensuring the patients insurance benefits have been verified within the past 90 days.
  • Collecting all co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances.
  • Checking in patients by arriving the appointment in Centricity Groupcast.
  • Preparing all paperwork and charts for next days clinic.
  • Assist Cashier by scheduling patients follow up appointments as needed.
  • Ensuring clinics run smoothly by informing Supervisor of any problems or issues to ensure they are quickly resolved.
  • Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
  • All other duties as assigned.

About You:

  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year experience in a medical office environment
  • Intermediate data entry skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be organized and able to multitask
