Graphic Designer:
--Part-Time Position with a six-month minimum commitment
--Remote, must be in Greater Seattle Area
--Once a week meeting with Director, flexible on days, remote or in-person
Candidate Summary:
CREATEUR is seeking a talented, detail-oriented, and sophisticated Graphic Designer who has a passion and previous experience designing print and digital work for businesses in the creative lifestyle, magazine, or local art related industries. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and enjoy contributing to a culture that is locally driven and on-time. We are looking for “non-clock watching” individuals who delight in rolling up their sleeves to contribute their skills and ideas. Must be able to translate verbal instructions with copious notetaking during meetings, in order to produce complex design solutions that are not always supported by a written creative brief. Successful CREATEUR designers need to be efficient/fast in developing high-caliber design solutions that embrace CREATEUR’s individual brand style. The ability to proof your own work for accuracy and detail is a must. Mastery of the Adobe Creative and Microsoft Suites to design deliverables for both PRINT and digital consumption, is a must. A 4-year degree in graphic design or visual communications, and prior agency or work experience is required. Squarespace and copy writing skills, an EXTREME PLUS. There is significant opportunity for advancement and growth at CREATEUR for candidates interested in Art Direction. This is a part-time job opportunity (10 hrs./week), with a minimum of a six-month commitment.
Job Description:
Graphic Design:
--Meet and work with art director to on-board design projects, and learn about
communication challenges/goals
--Create successful design/communication solutions that are inline and contribute to
building brand equity for CREATEUR and its sub brands.
--Create sophisticated design solutions for branding decks. Create high-level design solutions for
complex print collateral, digital campaigns, email marketing, signage, and packaging & promotional
products with accuracy and a refined attention to detail
--Efficiently manage, organize, and account for time in project management tool (ClickUp)
--Maintain and meet multiple deadlines
--Communicate with director to meet expectations and goals
--Proof work for accuracy prior to sending to director
--Communicate and follow-up through proofs, edits, and final files to meet project deadlines
--Keep director on task with follow up and communication to move work forward
--Work with vendors to manage design-deliverable production, budgets, and deadlines
--Accurately account for design and project management time on every project through project
management tool
--Efficiently communicate scope change on projects with project manager
CREATEUR Marketing Design:
--Support CREATEUR’s outbound marketing initiatives with design solutions, including publication on
linkedin, social media graphics, event marketing, SquareSpace website editing/updates, and internal
and B2B presentations
--Maintain accountability for design assignments related to CREATEUR’s marketing plan
--Manage/organize design work in our digital assets library (Dropbox)
Team Support:
--Assist other designers in constructive feedback, communication, and design support
--Participate in round table reviews
--Contribute ideas to improve work, flow, client communication, and efficiency
